FAQ
Qualification and Service Questions
1. Is my divorce considered uncontested?
The best way to make this determination is to give us a call and speak with an attorney. We can help you assess your legal needs and answer your questions. Please view our Uncontested Divorce page for more information.
2. What if my spouse is represented by an attorney?
Some attorneys do not consider a divorce to be uncontested if both parties are represented. We take a more flexible approach. We will speak with you to learn about your specific situation, and make a determination about whether our service fits your needs. We want to help you with your divorce even if our service is not a fit, and we will recommend an attorney that may be able to help you.
3. How does your service work?
Our service is a simple step-by-step process that emphasizes exceptional client care. We are an alternative to both do-it-yourself document preparation services and expensive hourly attorneys. Please take a look at our So, how does it work? page to learn more.
Cost Questions
1. How much are the court costs?
Court filing fees must be paid in addition to our flat fee of $497. In Jefferson County, the filing fee is $153 for divorces filed by attorneys. The fees may vary in other counties, but not by much. Before you choose our service, we will let you know the total you will pay.
2. What about additional fees?
We do not charge additional fees. We charge a flat fee of $497 + (court filing fee) when you hire us, and that is it.
